Ticket Ice is drop-in ice available to skaters outside of our regular session ice. Skaters must register online via Amilia. Due to COVID-19, we will no longer be offering monthly billing for TFSC members.



As per Skate Ontario, there is a maximum of 20 individuals allowed on the ice at one time (including coaches). Therefore, there is a maximum of 17 skaters per session. We cannot add any more spots, sorry. 

All spots are first-come, first-serve. There will be no waiting lists.

Registration will remain open until the start of the session. Example – if a skater wishes to skate on the 8-9 am session, they must register before 7:59 am. Late registrations will not be accepted. “Back-charging” for sessions will not be allowed. No exceptions. 

Skaters must be registered online via Amilia to skate, there will be no walk-ins accepted. If you are not registered, you will not be allowed to skate. No exceptions. 

Skaters and parents must adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols, which can be found in the “TFSC Ticket Ice Safety Protocols” document, available on our website. Any TFSC coach, volunteer, office staff or board member reserves the right to ask parents/skaters to leave the building and revoke skating privileges for those who are not following protocols. This includes passing the “Skate Ontario Health Screen Questionnaire”.

Registrations cannot be accepted without completed City of Markham COVID-19 Waiver Form, Skate Ontario COVID-19 Waiver Form, TFSC Ticket Ice Safety Protocols Agreement Form, Rowan’s Law Acknowledgment Form, Skate Canada Code of Conduct Agreement, TFSC Privacy Policy Agreement & TFSC Code of Conduct Agreement. These forms can be found on our website on the “Ticket Ice Schedule” page. These forms will be checked and if they are not correct, your registration will be cancelled without notice.



It is expected all users of Ticket Ice understand and will adhere to the Ticket Ice Etiquette Policy. Any TFSC coach, administrative staff or board member have the right to ask skaters to leave the ice if they are not adhering to our Ticket Ice Etiquette Policy. Repeated offenses will result in a loss of ticket ice usage privileges, up to and including termination of your TFSC membership. 

Skaters are expected to adhere to the COVID-19 Safety Protocols. Failure to abide by these protocols will result in a loss of skating privileges, up to and including termination of your TFSC membership. 

All ticket ice users (coaches and skaters) must be currently registered with Skate Canada.

Any TFSC coach, administrative staff or board member is permitted to request proof of payment, proof of registration with Skate Canada and/or proof of coaching membership with Skate Canada.

Only Skate Canada Certified coaches are to be teaching skaters. Parents are prohibited from coaching from rink-side or bleachers.

If skaters or parents have complaints regarding ticket ice, they are to direct it to the board of directors via email: thornhillfsc@gmail.com

Skater’s whose music is playing have right of way. Skaters are allowed a maximum of 2 run-throughs per session to make ice usage fair.

Absolutely no kicking of the boards or the ice, excessive yelling or swearing will be tolerated.

Coaches are not permitted to teach in the middle of the ice if the session is very busy.

Skaters are to practice spins in the middle of the ice.

CanSkaters or STAR 1 skaters must be taught by the boards and in a lesson with a coach.

The goal is to create a positive and hardworking training environment for athletes. Respect to all coaches and skaters is demanded.

Failure to adhere to Ticket Ice Etiquette by parents or skaters will result in a loss of ticket ice usage privileges.




TFSC reserves the right to change the schedule without notice. 

TFSC reserves the right to cancel sessions due to low enrollment. If this is the case, you will receive an email and be credited for the session less any classes that have run.

TFSC will only cancel sessions due to severe weather conditions if the City of Markham and/or Vaughan close the buildings where the sessions are to take place. If this is the case TFSC will announce the closure on their website and an email will be sent out to registered participants via Amilia. When there are severe weather conditions and the City of Markham and/or Vaughan has not closed the buildings please contact your coach to ensure they will be at the rink. It is not the responsibility of TFSC to ensure your coach will be present during a session. Credits/refunds will not be given due to severe weather unless the City of Markham and/or Vaughan has closed the building. Skaters are not permitted on the ice without a TFSC coach present. 



There are no refunds, credits or make-up sessions for Ticket Ice. There will be no transferring of sessions. All sales are final. 



The applicant agrees that the Thornhill Figure Skating Club and/or it’s proprietors will not be held responsible for any accidents or losses, however caused and agrees to release the proprietors from all claims or damages which may arise as a result of or by means of such accident or loss.  

Photo Waiver: The applicant grants TFSC the right for display or promotional purposes, the use of any photographs or videos taken of applicant & waives/releases and claim related to such use.
